Artistic creation has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. From the horses, princesses and psychedelic sceneries of my childhood, through the fan girl-phase of my youth and to the somewhat surrealistic research of the materia hidden in the unconscious of my adulthood, my method for research and processing has been the artistic and visual expression.
Artistically I admire the craftmanship of the old masters and the creativity of the surrealists. I am greatly inspired by the underground art and pop culture of the 20th century. This approach could be described as the one represented by the lowbrow – and pop surrealistic art movement. Other strong influences in my artistic expression are the romanticistic and gothic periods of the 19th century, symbolism, the Vienna Secession and artists like David Lynch, Marilyn Manson, Roj Friberg, Makode Linde, Niki Lindroth von Bahr, Anselm Kiefer and Laurie Lipton.
I´m glad and honoured to find that my art has found a loyal public and even some collectors. I´m very proud, astonished and humbled about the fact that one of my paintings, “Hugh and Barb”, a present for Mr Hugh Warner, was given to one of my great muses Marilyn Manson as a birthday gift. This was something I couldn´t even have dreamt of when starting creating again after a 15-year long break in 2007 and in my second fan girl-phase.
I paint in watercolours, oils and sometimes acrylics. I`ve also workd in mixed media including water colours, acrylics, clippings, coloured and graphite pencils, ink, coffee and even blod. Digital creation including short, stop motion-type of movies is something I´ve started discovering in the last years.
My art has been represented by the galleries Art Motion and Cecilia Haupt Konstbyrå.
